Seven Years and Blessings

Seven years today have passed since the day that Melissa and I were married.

Last night we watched the video from our wedding day and we were dumbstruck by the accumulated change taken place in seven years. So much has happened since: we have grown so much as people, we have shared so many adventures, and our relationship has become something so much more than we had hoped. We barely know those two foolish kids who entered into a marriage covenant before family and God.

Never underestimate what God can do in the hearts of two starstruck lovers who grab one another by the hand and leap into the future, prepared by vow, nurtured by joy, preserved by self-sacrifice, seasoned by adventure.

That was a long seven years ago. Wow! Strange how you can look back and barely recognize yourself. That's a good thing though. You were barely recognizable to me when on your wedding day compared to the teenage geek I remembered.

Summer and I are blessed to have been a part of your lives and look forward more adventures together.

I can't believe that was 7 years ago already. So much has happened over that time, it just boggles my mind to think about it.

I'm looking forward to seeing you guys in 2.5 weeks.

That's why we take pictures. When we're older we don't remember most of it.
